With his new composition Area, the internationally renowned Austrian electronic musician Fennesz creates space-specific, three-dimensional sound areas, virtual listening landscapes, which can be individually influenced and explored by the audience through the interactive headphone system NOUS Sonic. NOUS Sonic is an innovative audio technology developed by NOUSdigital in Vienna, which enables an immersive listening and spatial experience by precisely detecting the position, movement or viewing direction of the participants. In real spaces - here in the Grand Foyer of the Wiener Konzerthaus - it becomes possible to immerse oneself in technically sophisticated enhanced spatial and auditory perceptions via Augmented Listening.
