Cosmic Dimensions

Following extensive renovation and redesign, the house where astronomer Johannes Kepler died in Regensburg was ceremoniously reopened on February 1, 2024 with a new, contemporary exhibition. The interior of the exhibition, which sheds light on Kepler's life and work, was completely redesigned in collaboration with Kepler expert Pablo von Frankenberg and architects merz merz. Classic exhibits such as books and historical instruments were supplemented with interactive elements that offer visitors an interactive experience. NOUS was responsible for the media planning, design and implementation of the media in the guide. The content is automatically triggered by beacons, while the guide accompanies visitors through the museum as a first-person narrator. The location-sensitive app with audio content is available in German and English, as well as in sign language on in-house devices and in the store. This project thus represents a groundbreaking milestone for museum work in historic buildings.
